Gentlemen:
On October 17, 1985, representatives of this Division performed an inspection
of the Horst Landfill site in Weld County, Colorado. The purpose of this
inspection was to assess the compliance of this facility with the minimum
standards of the Solid Wastes Disposal Sites and Facilities Act Title 30,
Article 20 Part 1, C.R.S. 1982, as amended and Department regulations. A copy
of the field inspection report which identifies problems found at this site is
enclosed for your files.
The result of this inspection indicates that this facility appears to be in
general compliance with the Department regulations referenced above.
