RE: APPROVE SETTING OF WORK RELEASE RATES
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS , the Weld County Sheriff operates a work release
program in the county jail , and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners has established a
$40 . 00 (Forty Dollars) per week fee to inmates to defray costs of
the special program, and
WHEREAS, the Sheriff has recommended that the weekly fee be
increased to $70 .00 (Seventy Dollars) per week or $10 .00 (Ten
Dollars) per day because of the cost of the program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the fee for the work
release program is hereby increased from Forty Dollars ($40 . 00)
per week per participating inmate to Seventy Dollars ($70 .00) per
week or Ten Dollars ($10 . 00) per day per participating inmate.
The above and foregoing Resolution was , on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 12th day of
September, A.D. , 1988 .
