RE: APPOINTMENT OF SPECIAL COUNSEL
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado , and
WHEREAS, Notice was received by the Weld County Treasurer on
March 11 , 1986 , of an Application to the Bankruptcy Court for the
Northern District of Texas , Dallas Division , from Great Western
Sugar Company, requesting sale of its assets in Weld County free
and clear of the outstanding liens for real and personal property
taxes, and
WHEREAS, Weld County has prepared and filed an objection
thereto, and
WHEREAS , a hearing on the Motion and Objection thereto, has
been scheduled for March 14 , 1986 , at 9 : 00 a.m. , and
WHEREAS, Rick Zier, Assistant Latimer County Attorney, is in
the Dallas region and has agreed to represent the interests of the
Weld County Treasurer at said hearing.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that pursuant to Section
5-•4 of the Weld County Home Rule Charter, Rick Zier is hereby
appointed special counsel to represent the interests of the Weld
County Treasurer at the hearing on Weld County' s Objection to be
held before the Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of
Texas , Dallas Division on March 14 , 1986 .
The above and foregoing Resolution was , on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 12th day of
March, A.D. , 1986 .
