January 10, 1985
A regular meeting of the Weld County Utilities Coordinating Advisory
Committee was held on January 10, 1985. The meeting was held in room 339,
Centennial Building, 915 Tenth Street, Greeley, Colorado. The meeting was
called to order by the vice-chairman, Calvin Johnson at 10: 15,, .m.

Also present: Rod Allison, Current Planner II, Mike Mullen, Current
Planner, and Bobbie Good, Secretary.
Gary Johnson introduced Steve Bagley who will be replacing him as the
representative from the city of Greeley.
The Minutes of the last regular meeting of the Weld County Utilities
Coordinating Committee held on November 29, 1984, were approved as
distributed.

APPLICANT: James and Kathleen Ricketts
REQUEST: Replat of Lots 7 and 8, Block 4, Carriage Estates Subdivision
LEGAL DESCRIPTION: Lots 7 and 8, Block 4, Carriage Estates Subdivision,
First Filing: located in part of the W1 SW , Section 24,
T5N, R66W of the 6th P.M. , Weld County, Colorado.
LOCATION: South of Greeley City Limits and west of Evans City Limits; east
of 35th Avenue and north of West 35th Street
The Chairman asked Mike Mullen to review the request of the applicant.
APPEARANCE:
Jim Ricketts, property owner and applicant, explained that Sears Realty has
four two-story units that are just south of the lot line and when these
units were built they used part of lot eight. He would like to move the lot
line over about eight feet and and build a duplex. The utility easements
will remain the same.
The Utility Sign-Off sheet was distributed for the members to review.

MOTION:
Gary Johnson moved Case Number S-243:84: 15 for James and Kathleen Ricketts
for a replat of Lots 7 and 8, Block 4, Carriage Estate Subdivision be
recommended for approval to the Weld County Planning Commission and the
Board of County Commissioners. Motion seconded by Brian Johnson.
The Chairman called for discussion from the members of the Utility Advisory
Coordinating Committee. Discussion followed.
The Chairman asked the Committee for their decision. Motion carried
unanimously.
ELECTION OF OFFICERS:
The Chairman called for nominations for Chairman to serve for the year
1985.
MOTION:
Gary Johnson moved Calvin Johnson be nominated Chairman of the Weld County
Utilities Coordinating Advisory Committee. Motion seconded by Brian
Johnson.
The Chairman called for further nominations.
MOTION:
Brian Johnson moved motions cease and Calvin Johnson be nominated Chairman
by acclimation. Motion seconded by Gary Johnson.
The Chairman called for the decision of the Committee. Motion carried
unanimously.
The Chairman called for nomination for vice-chairman to serve for the year
1985.
MOTION:
Gary Johnson nominated Brian Johnson to serve as vice-chairman of the Weld
County Utilities Coordinating Committee. Motion seconded by Steve Bagley.
The Chairman called for further nominations.

MOTION:
Gary Johnson moved nomination cease and Brian Johnson he elected
vice-chairman by acclimation. Motion seconded by Steve Bagley.
The Chairman called for the decision of the Weld County Utilities
Coordinating Advisory Committee. Motion carried unanimously.
OTHER BUSINESS:
Brian Johnson announced that Paul. Witt has moved to Seattle, Washington. He
suggested that Gary Sandau, Fire Chief, La Salle Volunteer Fire Department
be appointed to fill the vacancy as his alternate.
MOTION:
Gary Johnson moved the Weld County Utilities Advisory Committee recommend to
the Board of County Commissioners that Gary Sandau be appointed to fill the
vacancy left by Paul Witt. Motion seconded by Brian Johnson.
The Chairman called for discussion from the Committee. Discussion followed.
The Chairman asked the Weld County Utilities Coordinating Advisory Committee
for their decision. Motion carried unanimously.
The meeting was adjourned at 10:30 a.m.
