RE: BEEBE DRAW LAW ENFORCEMENT AUTHORITY - 1988 BUDGET
A public hearing was conducted on October 28, 1987, at 10:00 A.M. , with
the following present:
Commissioner Gordon E. Lacy, Chairman - Excused
Commissioner C.W. Kirby, Pro-Tem - Excused
Commissioner Gene Brantner
Commissioner Jacqueline Johnson
Commissioner Frank Yamaguchi
Also present:
Acting Clerk to the Board, Mary Reiff
County Attorney, Thomas 0. David
Director of Finance and Administration, Donald Warden
The following business was transacted:
I hereby certify that pursuant to a notice dated September 11, 1987,
and duly published September 17, 1987, in the Johnstown Breeze, the
Weld County Board of Commissioners, sitting as the Beebe Draw Law
Enforcement Authority District Board, conducted a public hearing to
consider the proposed budget for 1988. Donald Warden, Director of
Finance and Administration, made this matter of record. He said the
Board has previously received copies of the proposed budget, and
explained that a budget of $119 is proposed, which will require a levy
of 7 mills. No public comment was received concerning this matter.
Commissioner Brantner moved to approve a Resolution adopting a budget
of $119 for the Beebe Draw Law Enforcement Authority District.
Commissioner Yamaguchi seconded the motion and it carried unanimously.
Commissioner Brantner moved to approve a Resolution setting the mill
levy for said district at 7 mills. The motion was seconded by
Commissioner Yamaguchi and carried unanimously. Commissioner Brantner
moved to approve a Resolution appropriating the monies to be generated
by the mill levy. The motion, seconded by Commissioner Yamaguchi,
carried unanimously. Upon the recommendation of Mr. Warden,
Commissioner Brantner moved to authorize the Chairman of the Beebe Draw
Law Enforcement Authority Board to sign a Law Enforcement Agreement
with the Weld County Sheriff's Department. Commissioner Yamaguchi
seconded the motion and it carried unanimously.
This Certification was approved on the 2nd day of November, 1987.
