HomeMy WebLinkAbout861033.tiff HEARING CERTIFICATION DOCKET NO. 86-17 RE: BEEBE DRAW LAW ENFORCEMENT AUTHORITY BUDGET HEARING A public hearing was conducted on October 29, 1986, at 10:00 A.M. , with the following present: Commissioner Jacqueline Johnson, Chairman Commissioner Gordon E. Lacy, Pro-Tem Commissioner Gene Brantner Commissioner C.W. Kirby Commissioner Frank Yamaguchi Also present: Acting Clerk to the Board, Mary Reiff County Attorney, Thomas 0. David Director of Finance and Administration, Donald Warden The following business was transacted: I hereby certify that pursuant to a notice dated September 12, 1986, and duly published September 18, 1986, in the Johnstown Breeze, a public hearing was conducted to consider the proposed 1987 budget for the Beebe Draw Law Enforcement Authority. Don Warden, Director of Finance and Administration, made this matter of record. He said that the Beebe Draw Law Enforcement Authority was created in April, 1986, with the Board of County Commissioners being designated as its Board. He recommended that the Board establish a levy of seven mills, which will create only $116 of revenue, an amount which must be spent for law enforcement activities. A Law Enforcement Agreement has been drawn up whereby the Weld County Sheriff's Department will furnish law enforcement services. No public comment was made concerning this matter. Commissioner Brantner moved to approve a Resolution adopting the proposed 1987 budget. Commissioner Lacy seconded the motion and it carried unanimously. Commissioner Brantner moved to approve a Resolution appropriating money for the Beebe Draw Law Enforcment Authority. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Kirby and carried unanimously. Commissioner Lacy moved to approve a Resolution setting the 1987 mill levy at seven mills. Commissioner Brantner seconded the motion which carried unanimously. Commissioner Lacy moved to authorize the Chairman to sign a certification of this tax levy. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Brantner and carried unanimously. Commissioner Brantner moved to authorize the Chairman to sign the Law Enforcement Agreement. Commissioner Lacy seconded the motion and it carried unanimously.
