CHRISTIAN WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS, on October 6 , 1986 , the Board approved a Use by Special Review for Billy J. and Donna J. Christian, and WHEREAS, the applicants are now requesting an extension of time to comply with Condition #4 of said Use by Special Review, and WHEREAS, the Board deems it appropriate to grant Billy J. and Donna J. Christian an additional 120 days, until April 9 , 1987 , to comply with Condition #4 . NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that Billy J. and Donna J. Christian be, and hereby are , granted an additional 120 days, until April 9, 1987 , to comply with Condition #4 of said Use by Special Review. Mr. Christian* has worked very hard to comply with the requests we have made and has a company working on the design of this system. Mr. Christian* has cut the size of his paint room to meet the needs of the system being designed. It is the feeling of the fire district that he is making every effort to get this taken care of and is now up against a time limit that the system installer has not been able to meet. The fire district has a sufficient supply of portable extinguishers of the needed size to loan to this operation until installation -of the system is completed. Mr. Christiana realizes that he must continue to develope and install the required built in system. With these facts in mind and the small size of the paint room and the limited use of same, we feel that a grant of 120 days to be able to complete this system will be advantageous to both parties involved. There is also some serious dis-agreement about the installation of the dust collection system that Mr. Christian* has obtained for this business. The manufacturer of the unit designed it for interior installation. Apparently the building department is not fully in favor of this and is requiring an exterior mounting or installation. We feel the collection bags which are of canvas type of materials will get wet, freeze, and cannot breath to allow collection of the dustjif mounted in the open and exposed to weather. If a shed or cover is built over the collector, then it is both isolated from daily maintenance and is also again an interoL part of the building. The fire district recommends the interior installation of this system as it was designed for and for the small amount of dust in this operation it is totally sufficient.
