RE: APPROVE ACCEPTANCE OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT ADMINISTRATION
GRANT AND AUTHORIZE CHAIRMAN TO SIGN
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to its authority under Title I of the
Public Works and Economic Development Act of 1965, as amended, the
Economic Development Administration, U.S. Department of Commerce,
has approved a Grant to Weld County for construction of the North
Weld Industrial Park, and
WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to accept
said Grant, with the terms and conditions being as stated in the
documents attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the Economic
Development Administration Grant to Weld County be, and hereby is ,
accepted.
BE IT FURTHER. RESOLVED by the Board that the Chairman be, and
hereby is , authorized to sign the necessary documents for the
acceptance of said Grant.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 16th day of
March, A.D. , 1988 .

APPROVAL AND AWARD OF GRANT
Pursuant to its authority under Title I of the Public Works and
Economic Development Act of 1965 , as amended, the Economic
Development Administration, U. S. Department of Commerce ( the
Government) , hereby approves and awards a Grant, subject to the
Special Conditions (Exhibit "A" ) and the Standard Terms and
Conditions (Exhibit "B" , dated February 1987 ) , both incorporated
by reference, not to exceed $640 , 000 to Weld County, Colorado ( the
Grantee) , for construction of the North Weld Industrial Park ( the
Project) , presently estimated to cost $1 , 484 , 950 in the City of
Greeley, Weld County, Colorado, provided that in no event shall this
Grant exceed whichever is the lower of $640 , 000 or 43 . 1 percent
of the actual cost of the Project as determined by the Government.
This Approval and Award of Grant, subject to the Special Conditions
and the Standard Terms and Conditions , shall constitute an obligation
to make such Grant. If the Grantee fails to affirm its intention to
use the Grant in accordance with the terms and conditions of this
Approval and Award of Grant, it will be terminated without further
cause. The Grantee must affirm by signing and returning one of the
original Approval and Award of Grant documents within 45 calendar
days from the date of approval by the Assistant Secretary.
