RESOLUTION
RE: APPROVE CONTRACT WITH COMMUNICATIONS ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGY,
INC. (C.E.T. , INC. ) AND AUTHORIZE CHAIRMAN TO SIGN
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with a Contract between
Weld County and Communications Engineering Technology, Inc. , and
WHEREAS , said Contract concerns formulating a five-year
systems objective and growth plan for the Communications System,
with the terms and conditions being as stated in the Contract, and
WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to
approve said Contract, a copy of which is attached hereto and
incorporated herein by reference.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the Contract between
Weld County and Communications Engineering Technology, Inc. be,
and hereby is, approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Chairman be, and
hereby is, authorized to sign said Contract.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 8th day of
February, A.D. , 1988 .

Dear Rich:
On January 15 , 1988 , Mr. Bill Davis and the undersigned
attended a meeting with Mr. Don Warden and yourself con-
cerning the proposed work by C.E.T. Inc. on the exisiting
Weld County Land Mobile Radio Communications System.
At that meeting Don Warden asked C.E.T. Inc. to address
the estimated cost for us to formulate a five year sys-
ems objective and growth plan for the Weld County Com-
munications System.
The five year plan will be subdivided into five yearly
sections listing estimated costs for each. The ultimate
goal will be divided by taking into consideration the
following:
1 . Departmental growth
2 . New Radio equipment technology
3. Availability of frequencies within the spectrum
4 . New/Replacement of equipment
(A) Mobile/Portable
(B) Fixed
5 . Tower Sites
(A) New
(B) Exisiting
(C) Radio Coverage
Total Cost : $5000 . 00 not to exceed $7000 . 00
