RE: APPROVE AMENDMENT TO MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT BETWEEN WELD
COUNTY, COLORADO AND THE WELD LIBRARY DISTRICT AND AUTHORIZE
CHAIRMAN TO SIGN
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, Weld County desires to further assist the Weld
Library District by extending Colorado Counties Casualty and
Property Pool Insurance to the Weld Library District, and
WHEREAS , it appears that the Library District qualifies as an
associated entity under Colorado Counties Casualty and Property
Pool, and
WHEREAS, the Board, after study and review, deems it
advisable to approve said Amendment to the Memorandum of
Agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the Amendment to the
Memorandum of Agreement between Weld County and the Weld Library
District be, and hereby is , approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners
that the Chairman be, and hereby is, authorized to sign said
Memorandum of Agreement.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made
and seconded , adopted by the following vote on the 1st day of
July, A.D. , 1987 .

AMENDMENT TO MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT
BETWEEN WELD COUNTY, COLORADO, AND THE WELD LIBRARY DISTRICT
THIS AMENDMENT, made and entered this 1st day of July, 1987,
by and between the WELD LIBRARY DISTRICT (hereinafter called
"Library" ) and the COUNTY OF WELD, STATE OF COLORADO (hereinafter
called "County) .
WITNESSETH:
WHEREAS, there exists an Agreement between the parties
approved November 3 , 1986 , and
WHEREAS, certain insurance coverages for the Library may be
extended under the rules of the Colorado Counties Casualty and
Property Pool (hereinafter called "CAPP") by agreement between the
County and an associated entity, and
WHEREAS, Library no longer has available American Library
Association Errors and Omissions Insurance , and
WHEREAS, the Library was formed by an act of the Board of
County Commissioners of Weld County and performs functions
previously performed by the County, and
WHEREAS , members of the Weld Library District Board of
Trustees are appointed subject to the approval of the Board of
County Commissioners.
NOW, THEREFORE, for and in consideration of the promises and
mutual agreements contained herein and in the original Agreement,
the parties agree that the November 3, 1986 , Agreement be amended
by the addition of a paragraph to read as follows:
16 . County shall provide insurance coverage to the extent
available under the CAPP Program to the Library, and its
officers and employees when acting within the scope of
their authority. This insurance shall be deemed
adequate to meet the requirements of Section VII of the
Lease of December 20 , 1985 , between the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, and the Weld
Library District Board of Trustees.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties have caused this Agreement to
be duly executed this 1st day of July, 1987.
