RE: APPROVE APPOINTMENT OF SPECIAL COUNSEL AND AUTHORIZE CHAIRMAN
TO SIGN CONTRACT
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS , a grievance hearing has been scheduled for July 14 ,
1987 , before the Weld County Personnel Grievance Board, and
WHEREAS , the Board finds that it is necessary to employ
Special Counsel to represent the Weld County Sheriff' s Department
at said hearing and has been presented with a Contract for Legal
Services between Weld County and Zane M. Pic for such services ,
and
WHEREAS , the Board deems it advisable to approve the
appointment of Zane M. Pic to represent the Weld County Sheriff' s
Department, a copy of said Contract being attached hereto and
incorporated herein by reference.
NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County
Commissioners of the County of Weld , that Zane M. Pic be , and
hereby is , appointed as Special Counsel to represent the Weld
County Sheriff' s Department at the Personnel Grievance Hearing
scheduled for July 14 , 1987 .
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that Zane M. Pic will be
compensated at the rate of $80 .00 per hour.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Chairman be, and
hereby is, authorized to sign said Contract for Legal Services.

CONTRACT FOR LEGAL SERVICES
WHEREAS , a grievance hearing has been scheduled before the
Weld County Grievance Board for July 14 , 1987, and
WHEREAS , the Board of County Commissioners finds it necessary
to employ special counsel to represent the Sheriff' s Department of
Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, Section 5-4 of the Weld County Home Rule Charter
allows the Board to appoint special counsel .
NOW, THEREFORE, it is agreed by and between the Board of
County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, and Zane Pic ,
Attorney at Law, 1122 Ninth Street , #105, Greeley, Colorado
80631 , that said Zane Pic will represent the Sheriff' s Department
of Weld County, Colorado, at the grievance hearing now scheduled
before the Weld County Grievance Board. Weld County agrees to
reimburse special counsel at the hourly rate of $80 . 00 together
with all costs expended and shall provide for such reimbursement
within thirty (30) days after special counsel has submitted a
statement for services.
