RESOLUTION
RE: ESTABLISHMENT OF POLICIES CONCERNING COMPUTER EQUIPMENT
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, many pieces of computer equipment have been
purchased by Weld County and placed in various County offices , and
WHEREAS, a review of the procedures relating to the record
keeping of said equipment has been done by the Director of Finance
and Administration, Comptroller, and Director of Information
Services Agency, and
WHEREAS, based upon the review of procedures, it is
recommended that policy changes or new policies be established,
and
WHEREAS, the recommended policies are as follows:
1 . All computer equipment, because of its transferability,
should be on the property inventory listing of the
Information Service Agency.
2 . All computer equipment should have markings or
identification indicating it is the property of Weld
County.
3 . Computer items that are not serialized by the
manufacturer shall not be capitalized and not accounted
for on the property inventory records of Weld County.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the above policies
be, and hereby, are approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that said policies be
incorporated into the Weld County Administrative Manual.

The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 16th day of
August, A.D. , 1989 .
