RE: RESCIND RESOLUTION WAIVING BID PROCEDURE AND ACCEPTING OFFER
TO LEASE CERTAIN MINERAL ACRES - HOWARD AND ASSOCIATES, LTD.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS , on December 19 , 1988 , the Board approved the request
of Howard and Associates, Ltd. , to waive the bid procedure and
accept its offer to lease certain mineral acres located in Section
3 , Township 7 North, Range 58 West of the 6th P.M. , Weld County,
Colorado, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to said approval, a Resolution of the Board
was prepared, along with an Oil and Gas Lease to be executed by
John Howard, of Howard and Associates, Ltd. , and
WHEREAS, on January 25 , 1989 , a letter was received from Mr.
Howard stating that he does not wish to lease the above mentioned
mineral acres at this time, and
WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to
rescind said Resolution of December 19 , 1988 .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the Resolution of
December 19 , 1988 , waiving the bid procedure and accepting the
offer of Howard and Associates, Ltd. , to lease certain mineral
acres be, and hereby is, rescinded.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 1st day of
February, A.D. , 1989 .
