RE: APPROVE ABATEMENT OF IMPREST FUND IN THE WELD COUNTY CLERK
AND RECORDER'S OFFICE
WHRRRAS, the Board- of County- Commissioners of Weld- County-,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board did by Resolution dated May 14 , 1980,
establish an Imprest Fund for the Weld County Clerk and Recorder,
and
WHEREAS, the Board has now been advised by the Clerk and
Recorder that the Imprest Fund is no longer necessary in said
office, and
WHEREAS, the $2,000 .00 amount of the Imprest Fund has been
rendered to the Accounting Department for deposit, and
WHEREAS, the Board now deems it appropriate to abate said
Imprest Fund.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the Imprest Fund for
the Weld County Clerk and Recorder be, and hereby is, abated.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 7th day of
August, A.D. , 1989.

RESOLUTION
RE: ESTABLISHING THE COUNTY CLERK AND RECORDER IMPREST CASH FUND AND
ADOPTING A POLICY GOVERNING THE IMPREST CASH FUND.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado,
pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested
with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, it has been recommended to the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado that there is a need for an imprest cash fund in the
amount of not more than $2,000.00 in the Weld County Clerk and Recorder's
Office, and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that there has been a need to establish
the imprest cash fund to handle insufficient fund checks returned by the bank
for fees paid to the Clerk and Recorder by patrons, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners deems it advisable and in the
best interest of Weld County to adopt the following policy regarding the use
of the imprest cash fund in the Clerk and Recorder' s Office:
1 . The fund shall be used to handle insufficient fund checks returned
by the bank for activities in the Clerk and Recorder's Office.
2. The Clerk and Recorder shall be the custodian of the imprest fund.
3. The imprest fund shall be maintained by the Clerk and Recorder or
her designee, reconciled monthly, and a report of transactions and composition
of the fund balance submitted monthly to the Director of Finance and Administration.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that until further order of the Board, an imprest cash
fund, entitled the Clerk and Recorder's Imprest Cash Fund, is hereby established
and that such amount shall not exceed $2,000.00 at any one time.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the above and foregoing policy
concerning the Clerk and Recorder Imprest Cash Fund be, and hereby is , adopted.
Said policy effective the date of this resolution.
The above and foregoing resolution was , on motion duly made and seconded,
adopted by the following vote on the 14th day of May, A.D. , 1980.
