RE: APPROVE SEWER TAP APPLICATION WITH GALETON WATER AND
SANITATION DISTRICT AND AUTHORIZE CHAIRMAN TO SIGN
WHEREAS , the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS , the Board of Directors of the Galeton Water and
Sanitation District has set its sewer tap fee at $750 . 00, to
increase to $1 , 500 . 00 beginning January 1 , 1990 , and
WHEREAS, it has been recommended that the Board approve a
sewer tap application for the site of the Galeton grader shed, and
WHEREAS, after review the Board deems it advisable to approve
said tap application.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the sewer tap
application with the Galeton Water and Sanitation District be, and
hereby is, approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Chairman be, and
hereby is , authorized to sign said tap application.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 20th day of

The undersigned applicant requests permission to connect to the wastewater
system during construction or very soon thereafter and agrees to meet all re-
quirements of Weld County and the Colorado Department of Health, and to pay
all charges and fees as provided by law.
The District will obtain from the General Contractor, a unit price per foot
for installing the service line from the sewer main to the house. The Owner
may elect to install the line by himself, by an approved plumber, or by the
contractor who is hired to install the main lines.
The undersigned applicant desires to pay the $750.00 tap fee in the following
manner:

From: Board of Directors
Subject: Sewerage System
The Board of Directors is negotiating for a site for sewage lagoons south of
town and will soon be finalizing the loan and grant arrangements for the sewer
system.
As announced last month, the present tap fee is $750.00. The Board of Directors
on October 12 set the tap fee at $1500.00 beginning January 1 , 1990. If you
apply for a tap prior to January 1 , you can pay the lower amount, $750.00. You
can buy one now if you plan to build a home on a vacant lot and will need sewer
service within a year or two.
The Board of directors will set monthly service charges for "active" sewer taps
after the financing is arranged. They will also set a monthly service charge
for "inactive" sewer taps. This "inactive" sewer service charge will be used to
pay off the loan only, not for monthly operation and maintenance, so it will be
lower than the "active" sewer service charge.
It is expected that there will be about 40 active sewer taps. This number of
customers is more than previously estimated. Every additional customer helps
lower the monthly service charge for all the customers.
