State of Colorado, at a duly and lawfully called regular meeting held on the 16th day
of March , A.D. 19 88 , at which meeting there were present the following
members- Chairman Gene R. Brantner and Commissioners C.W. Kirby, Jacqueline
Johnson, Gordon E. Lacy and Frank Yamaguchi

Property bought in April, 1985. This decision was based on the figures at
that time, allowing for a fair and reasonable rate of increase in both taxes
and insurance. It seems to us that the increase of nearly $2,000 per year in
taxes is euupletely unfair and exorbitant.
1984 - approximately $1,400
1985 - $1,780 27% increase
1986 - $1,936 8% one-year increase
38% two-year increase
1987 - $3,338 72% one-year increase
138% three-year increase
- state average tax increase - 5.8%
- value of property - 11/10/86 - per VA - $178,000
assessed valuation 5/21/87 - $255,333
- house across highway similar - appraised @ $110,000
our house alone appraised @ $227,000 - has only 700 sq. ft. more
- 4+ acres plus house and two outbuildings immediately west of Windsor
paying approximately $1,300 tax
- zoned agricultural
- no country club setting
- no water rights
- fire and police protection are not close
