RE: Liquor Licenses Held by Mr. Donald
Ely at the I-76 Motel and Cafe
Dear Mr. Porter:
There seems to be some confusion concerning two licenses issued by Weld County
and the State of Colorado to Mr. Donald Ely at the I-76 Motel and Cafe in
Roggen, Colorado. Mr. Ely obtained a 3.2 beer off the premises sales license
for his motel and then obtained a Hotel and Restaurant License for his cafe.
The cafe and motel are two completely separate buildings. However, it appears
that both the cafe and motel use the same mailing address.
We recommend that a separate address should be assigned to each separate
building. Therefore, the I-76 Motel, with the 3.2 Beer License, should be
considered to be "Unit A" at the common address. The I-76 Cafe, with its Hotel
and Restaurant License, should be considered to be "Unit B."

Deputy County Clerk and Recorder, at 356-4000.
