RE: APPROVE CORRECTED QUIT CLAIM DEED TO ROY MATHEWS AND
AUTHORIZE CHAIRMAN TO SIGN
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, on the 3rd day of October, 1984 , the Board did, by
Quit Claim Deed, vacate a certain portion of Weld County Road
right-of-way
WHEREAS, said Quit Claim Deed, recorded in the office of the
Weld County Clerk and Recorder, at Book 1047 , Reception Number
01985794 , listed the legal description as follows:
The West thirty (30) feet of Section 14 ,
Township 1 North, Range 66 West of the 6th
P.M. , Weld County, Colorado, extending for a
distance of 1322. 98 feet from the Northwest
Corner of said Section.
WHEREAS, an error was made in the legal description in said
Quit Claim Deed and the Board has now been presented with a
Corrected Quit Claim Deed with the correct legal description to
read as follows:
The North thirty (30) feet of Section 14 ,
Township 1 North , Range 66 West of the 6th
P.M. , Weld County, Colorado, extending for a
distance of 1322. 98 feet from the Northwest
Corner of said Section. (Underlining
indicates correction. )
WHEREAS, the Board deems it appropriate to approve the
Corrected Quit Claim Deed to Roy Mathews and to have said
Corrected Quit Claim Deed recorded in the office of the Weld
County Clerk and Recorder.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the Corrected Quit
Claim Deed, to be issued to Roy Mathews for the above described
property be, and hereby is, approved, to be recorded in the office
of the Weld County Clerk and Recorder.

Subject: Corrected Quit Claim Deed for William Ray
Adams , Sr.
On October 3, 1984 , the Board of County Commissioners granted the
request of William Ray Adams, Sr. , to vacate a portion of Weld
County Road right-of-way located within the "P.A.T.C.H.E.S. "
Subdivision. The Board then executed a Quit Claim Deed to Mr. Roy
Mathews for 1322 feet of the right-of-way located adjacent to Lots
2 and 4 . It seems that Mr. Mathews owned those lots at that time.
Mr. Adams visited our offices about two weeks ago. It seems that
the Quit Claim Deed which had been given to Roy Mathews was
incorrect. The legal description in the Deed said the "west 30
feet. " It should have been the "north 30 feet. "
Therefore, the Board must now execute a Corrected Quit Claim Deed
with the correct legal description . The Corrected Quit Claim Deed
may be executed even though Mr. Roy Mathews is now deceased.
