COLORADO From George Goodell , Road and Bridge Director .
Subject: "Stop" Sign Recommendation at Weld County Roads 19 and 8
Attached is a memo and a sketch I received from Jack Slife, our Maintenance-
Support Supervisor, regarding the recommendation of a "Stop" sign on Weld
County Road 19 at the intersection of Weld County Roads 19 and 8.
I concur with this proposed "Stop" sign, and; therefore, recommend that
this "Stop" sign be installed. If you agree with this recommendation,
please let me know if you will place this on a Board Meeting's Agenda,
or if you would like us to do so.
If you have any questions about this, please let me know.

Subject: "Stop" Sign Recommendation at Weld County Roads 19 and 8 (/
Attached is a sketch of my recommendation for a 30" X 30" "Stop" sign
on Weld County Road 19 at the intersection of Weld County Roads 19 and
8.
This intersection has had numerous accidents with southbound traffic on
Weld County Road 19 because of poor visibility created by a small hill .
By placing the proposed "Stop" sign here, the following signing will
also occur:
1. The current curve sign on Weld County Road 19, as indicated
on the sketch, would be changed to a 30" X 30" "Stop Ahead"
sign.
2. A 30" X 30" "Stop Ahead" sign would also be placed at the
crest of the hill .
The above will control traffic on Weld County Road 19 and make Weld County
Road 8 open to through traffic. All other signing present in this area will
remain the same.
