RE: APPROVE CONTINUANCE OF HEARING CONCERNING USE BY SPECIAL
REVIEW - ELK EXPLORATION, INC.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, on April 16 , 1986 , a hearing was conducted to
consider the request of Elk Exploration, Inc. for a Use by Special
Review for oil and gas production facilities in an R-1 (Low
Density Residential) Zone District, and
WHEREAS , only three Commissioners were present at said
hearing, and the applicant requested that the hearing be continued
to a time when all five Commissioners will be present, and
WHEREAS, the Board deems it advisable to continue said
hearing to April 23 , 1986 , at 2: 00 p.m.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the hearing to
consider the request of Elk Exploration , Inc. for a Use by Special
Review for oil and gas processing facilities in an R-1 (Low
Density Residential) Zone District be, and hereby is, continued to
April 23 , 1986 , at 2: 00 p.m.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made
-and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 16th day of
April, A.D. , 1986 .

RE: USE BY SPECIAL REVIEW FOR OIL AND GAS PRODUCTION FACILITIES IN AN
R-1 (LOW DENSITY RESIDENTIAL) ZONE DISTRICT - ELK EXPLORATION,
INC.
A public hearing was conducted on April 16, 1986, at 2:00 P.M., with
the following present:
Commissioner Jacqueline Johnson, Chairman
-Commissioner Gordon E. Lacy, pro-Tem - Excused
Commissioner Gene Brantner
Commissioner C.W. Kirby
Commissioner Frank Yamaguchi - Excused
Also present:
Acting Clerk to the Board, Mary Reiff
Assistant County Attorney, Lee D. Morrison
Planning Department representative, Debbie de Besche
-The following business was transacted:
I hereby certify that pursuant to a notice dated February 19, 1986, and
duly published February 27, 1986, in the Johnstown Breeze, a public
hearing was conducted to -consider the request of -Elk Exploration, Inc.
for a Use by Special Review for oil and gas production facilities in an
R-1 (Low Density Residential) Zone District. Lee Morrison, Assistant
County Attorney, made this matter of record. Debbie de Besche,
representing the Planning Department, stated that the applicant had
been advised that only three Commissioners would be present for this
hearing and it was requested that the matter be continued until all
Commissioners will be present. Commissioner Brantner _moved to continue
this matter to April 23, 1986, at 2:00 p.m. Commissioner Kirby
seconded the motion and it carried unanimously.
This Certification was approved on the 21st day of April, 1986.
