We would like to remind you that The Federal Land Bank of Wichita is exempt fray the payment of all taxes except ad valorem taxes on real estate. This tax exemption is provided for in 12 U.S.C. 2055 (copy enclosed). Since the exemption is federal, under the Supremacy Clause of the United States Constitution, it overrides all state statutes to the contrary. I am also enclosing for your reference and records, letters fran the Colorado Oil and Gas Conservation Commission and the Colorado Department of Revenue which specifically recognizes The Federal Land Bank of Wichita's exemption fran the above taxes. Based on the above, we request that if you have been withholding for these items that you discontinue doing so at once.
