RESOLUTION
RE: APPROVAL OF PETITION FOR ANNEXATION OF PORTION OF WELD COUNTY
ROAD 141 TO FORT LUPTON AND AUTHORIZATION FOR CHAIRMAN TO
SIGN
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with a Petition for the
annexation of a portion of Weld County Road 141, of which Weld
County is the owner, to the City of Fort Lupton, and
WHEREAS, said property is located in the W1 of Section 32 ,
Township 2 North, Range 66 West of the 6th P.M. , Weld County,
being more particularly described in Exhibit "B" of said Petition
for annexation, a copy of which is attached hereto and
incorporated herein by reference, and
WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to
approve said Petition for Annexation to the City of Fort Lupton.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the Petition for the
annexation of the hereinabove described property to the City of
Fort Lupton be, and hereby is , approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Chairman be, and
hereby is, authorized to sign said Petition.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 29th day of
April, A.D. , 1985 .

Legal Description - Parcel A
A tract of land located in the NE 1/4 of Section 31, and in the
West 1/2 of Section 32, Township 2 North, Range 66 West of the 6th
Principal Meridian, Weld County, Colorado, being more particularly
described as follows:
Considering the north line of the SW 1/4 of Section 32 as bearing
N89°57'11"W, and with all bearings contained herein relative thereto.
Commencing at E 1/4 corner of Section 31, said point being the True
Point of Beginning; thence, along the north line of the SE 1/4 of
said Section 31, 589°55'12"W a distance of 27.00 feet ; thence, leaving
said section line, NOO°26'11"W, along the westerly right-of-way line
of L'.S. Highway No. 85, a distance of 895.20 feet; thence, leaving
said right-of-way line, N89°33'49"E, a distance of 57.00 feet, to
the easterly right-of-way line of said U.S. Highway No. 85; thence,
along said easterly right-of-way line, S00°26'11"E,a distance of
895.68 feet, to the north line of the SW 1/4 of Section 32; thence,
along said north line of the SW 1/4, N89°57'11"W, 30.00 feet, to the
True Point of Beginning.

2 North, Range 66 West of the 6th Principal Meridian, Weld County,
Colorado, being more particularly described as follows:
Considering the north line of the SW 1/4 of Section 32 as bearing
N89°57 '11"W, and with all bearings contained herein relative thereto.
Commencing at E 1/4 corner of Section 31; thence, along the north line
of the SW 1/4 of Section 32, 589°57' 11"E, 30.00 feet; thence, leaving
said line, NOO°26'11"W, along the easterly right-of-way line of U.S.
Highway No. 85, a distance of 30.00 feet, to the north right-of-way
line of 14th Street; thence, along said north right-of-way line,
589°57' 11"E, a distance of 786.10 feet, to the easterly right-of-way
line of the Union Pacific Railroad; thence, along said right-of-way
line, S00°14' 41"E, a distance of 60.00 feet, to the south right-of-way
line of said 14th Street; thence along said south right-of-wav line,

PETITION FOR ANNEXATION
The undersigned, who are owners of the 100% of the area proposed to
be annexed, hereby petition the City Council of the City of Fort Lupton,
Colorado for annexation of the subject property.
The property meets the requirements of S31-12-104 and S31-12-105,
C.R.S.
It is desirable and necessary that the subject property be annexed
to the City of Fort Lupton, Colorado. We, the undersigned, do therefore
request that the City of Fort Lupton, Colorado annex the subject property,
which is described on the attached Exhibit "A", which by reference is
made a part hereof. The legal description of the land owned by each of
the undersigned is attached as Exhibit "B" and by reference made a part
hereof.
Also attached hereto are four copies of an annexation map containing
a written legal description of the boundaries of the area proposed to be
annexed and, within the annexation boundary map, a showing of the location
of each ownership tract in unplatted land and next to the boundary of the
area proposed to be annexed, a drawing of the contiguous boundary of the
City of Fort Lupton, Colorado.
Also attached hereto is an affidavit of the circulator of this
Petition certifying that each signature hereon is the signature of the
person whose name it purports to be.
