GLENWOOD CANYON CONSTRUCTION CAUSES
FURTHER DELAYS
Interstate 70 construction in Glenwood Canyon will delay traffic 24 hours a day
during the period Monday, October 14 through Friday, October 18. Motorists may expect
delays of up to 45 minutes when traveling the route.
During the week Flatiron Structures Company crews will make connections to newly
completed westbound I-70 lanes in the western portion of the canyon from No Name interchange
to near Grizzly Creek.
Minimum delays of closer to ten minutes will occur between 5 a.m. and 7 a.m. , which
will benefit the local work force using Glenwood Canyon.
In recent weeks "No Work" periods during peak travel times have helped local commuters
and travelers alike. Work schedules may change due to weather conditions or unforeseen
circumstances; these changes will be recorded on the Glenwood Canyon construction Hot
Line, telephone number 945-0148.
