An apparently successful bid of $556,251 was turned in by Kiewit Western Company of Littleton. The project consists of hot bituminous pavement overlay, seal coat, and a structure. It begins 14.7 miles southwest of Limon and extends 16 miles northeast. John Goetzcke of Limon is resident engineer for this project, which is scheduled for completion within 35 workable days . 000 MP 47-0025-05 I-25 AT CASTLE ROCK Resident engineer Wayne Nesbitt of Aurora will coordinate a pedestrian walkway project for the northern Interstate 25 interchange at Castle Rock, if contract award follows Division of Highways October 10 bidding activity. K.E.C.I . Colorado, Inc. of Littleton submitted an apparently successful bid of $101,658 for a project which includes curb and gutter, sidewalk and guardrail . Three firms bid the project, which requires completion within thirty working days following its Notice to Proceed. 000 FLH 0139(11) S.H. 139 NORTH OF LOMA Widening S.H. 139 north of Loma drew four bidders October 10 when Division of Highways engineers opened sealed envelopes . A project beginning five miles north of the community and extending four miles north consists of grading, structures, stabilization, hot bituminous pavement, concrete box culvert, guardrail , topsoil , seeding and mulching. Kiewit Western Company of Littleton turned in an apparently successful bid of $1,255,818 for the project, which is scheduled for completion within 80 workable days. I-70. $2,545,039 000 GLENWOOD CANYON CONSTRUCTION CAUSES FURTHER DELAYS Interstate 70 construction in Glenwood Canyon will delay traffic 24 hours a day during the period Monday, October 14 through Friday, October 18. Motorists may expect delays of up to 45 minutes when traveling the route. During the week Flatiron Structures Company crews will make connections to newly completed westbound I-70 lanes in the western portion of the canyon from No Name interchange to near Grizzly Creek. Minimum delays of closer to ten minutes will occur between 5 a.m. and 7 a.m. , which will benefit the local work force using Glenwood Canyon. In recent weeks "No Work" periods during peak travel times have helped local commuters and travelers alike. Work schedules may change due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances; these changes will be recorded on the Glenwood Canyon construction Hot Line, telephone number 945-0148. * * * Hello
