RE: APPROVE CONTINUANCE OF HEARING CONCERNING USE BY SPECIAL
REVIEW - ELK EXPLORATION, INC.
WHEREAS , the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter , is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS , on March 12 , 1986 , a hearing was conducted to
consider the request of Elk Exploration, Inc. for a Use by Special
Review for oil and gas production facilities in an R-1 (Low
Density Residential) Zone District, and
WHEREAS, only three Commissioners were present at said
hearing, and a request was received that the hearing be continued
to a time when all five Commissioners will be present, and
WHEREAS, the Board deems it advisable to continue said
hearing to April 16 , 1986 , at 2 : 00 p.m.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado , that the hearing to
-consider the request of Elk Exploration, Inc. for a Use by Special
Review for oil and gas processing facilities in an R-1 (Low
Density Residential) Zone District be, and hereby is , continued to
April 16 , 1986 , at 2: 00 p.m.
The above and foregoing Resolution was , on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 12th day of
March, A.D. , 1986 .

A public hearing vas conducted ion March 12, 1986, at 2:00 P.M. , -with
the following Present:
Commissioner Jacqueline Johnson, Chairman
Commissioner Gordon E. lacy, Pro T-em
Commissioner Gene Brantner
Commissioner C.W. Kirby - Excused
Commissioner FFrank Yamaguchi - Excused
Also present:
Acting Clerk to the Board, Mary Reiff
Assistant County Attorney, Zee D. Morrison
Planning Department representative, Gloria V. Dunn
The following business was transacted:
I hereby certify that pursuant to a notice dated February 19, 1986, and
duly published February 27, 1-986, in the Johnstown Breeze, a public
hearing was conducted to -consider the request of -Elk Exploration, Inc.
for a Use by Special Review for oil and gas production facilities in an
R-1 (Low Density Residential) Zone District. Zee Morrison, Assistant
County Attorney, made this matter -of record. Gloria Dunn, -representing
the Planning Department, said a request vas received from the applicant
that the hearing be continued to a slate in April when all Commissioners
will be present, rather than proceeding with today's hearing with only
three Commissioners present. Commissioner Lacy moved to continue this
hearing to April 16, 1-986, at 2:00 p.m. Seconded by Commissioner
Brantner, the motion carried unanimously.
This Certification was approved on the 17th day of March, 1986.
