RE : APPROVE MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT WITH WHEELER CONSOLIDATED,
INC. AND AUTHORIZE CHAIRMAN TO SIGN
WHEREAS , the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS , the Board has been presented with a Memorandum of
Agreement with Wheeler Consolidated, Inc. concerning the
construction of Weld County Bridge 25/62A, and
WHEREAS, Weld County and Wheeler Consolidated, Inc. are
cooperating to construct a timber bridge on Weld County Road 25
across the Cache la Poudre River, and
WHEREAS, the terms and conditions are as stated in the
Memorandum of Agreement, a copy of which is attached hereto and
incorporated herein by reference, and
WHEREAS, after study and review, the Board deems it advisable
to approve said Memorandum of Agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the Memorandum of
Agreement with Wheeler Consolidated, Inc. be, and hereby is,
approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Chairman be, and
hereby is , authorized to sign said Memorandum of Agreement.

MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT.
FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF WELD COUNTY BRIDGE 25/62A
THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this __19th _day of
_.._.Augvat._________..._.._.._, t9Ei'7, by and between the COUNTY OF WELD,
State of Colorado, hereinafter called "the County" , and
WHEELER CONSOLIDATED, INC. hereinafter called "Wheeler ' .
WHEREAS, the County and Wheeler are cooperating to
construct a timber bridge, as a demonstration project , in
conjunction with the "Workshop on Contemporary Timber
Bridges" , sponsored by Colorado State University, and
WHEREAS, the location of said bridge is on Weld County
Road 25 across the Cache La Poudre River , and
WHEREAS, $23,000 has been made available to the County
from Colorado State University through a grant from the
United States Department of Agriculture toward the
construction of said bridge, and
WHEREAS, Wheeler desires to demonstrate its bridge
construction materials in conjunction with the workshop , and
WHEREAS, Weld County has need to replace said bridge
because of its deficient load carry capacity.
NOW THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual conditions
hereinafter- set forth, the County and Wheeler agree as
followsg
1 . The County will provide $25,000 of county funds and
the $-25,000 from Colorado State University (the
grant from USDA) for the purchase of materials.
The County will also provide all labor and
equipment to construct said bridge, roadway plan
and profiles, subsurface soils investigation ,
steel piling for the center piers and any permits
necessary for construction.
2. Wheeler will provide bridge construction plans,
shop drawings and all other materials necessary
for construction which are esti mated to have a
market value of $35,000.
