HomeMy WebLinkAbout860591.tiff RESOLUTION RE: APPROVE INSTALLATION OF REDUCED SPEED LIMIT SIGNS AND 30-MILE PER HOUR SPEED LIMIT SIGNS ON WELD COUNTY ROAD 54 AT GREAT WESTERN RAILROAD AND UNION PACIFIC RAILROAD CROSSINGS WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS, the Road and Bridge Department has recommended to the Board that speed limit signs be installed on Weld County Road 54 east of Weld County Road 15 approaching the Great Western Railroad and Union Pacific Railroad Crossings, and WHEREAS, the Board did determine that reduced speed limit and 30-mile per hour speed limit signs be installed on Weld County Road 54 approaching said railroad crossings, and WHEREAS, the Board further determined that 30-mile per hour speed limits signs be installed between the Great Western Railroad and Union Pacific Railroad Crossings, and WHEREAS, upon recommendation of the Road and Bridge Department, the Board has determined that the installation of said signs are necessary for the protection of the general public. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the Road and Bridge Department be, and hereby is, directed to install reduced speed limit and 30-mile per hour speed limit signs on Weld County Road 54 approaching the Great Western Railroad and Union Pacific Railroad Crossings, said signs shall conform to the State Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices.
