Re: Disclosure of Conflict of Interest Pursuant to Colorado Revised
Statute 18-8-308, as Amended
Dear Secretary of State:
As you know, Colorado Revised Statutes, 18-8-308 requires that a disclosure
be made of any conflict of interest involving any substantial discretionary
function in connection with a government contract, purchase payment or
other pecuniary transaction. I am now serving as a Commissioner for the
Greeley-Weld County Airport Authority with a term expiring September, 1986.
You should know that I have the following interests in the private sector
which may, from time to time, conflict with my duties as a Commissioner
for the Greeley-Weld County Airport Authority:
1 . I am a member of the Board of Directors of First Northern Savings &
Loan. The Greeley-Weld County Airport Authority may, from time to
time, borrow or deposit money at First Northern Savings & Loan.
2. I own an airplane for which I buy fuel , lease space and generally
use the Greeley-Weld County Airport.
3. I am also on the Board of Directors of ARIX, A Professional Corporation
which also may, from time to time, conflict with my duties as a
Commissioner of the Greeley-Weld County Airport Authority.
I am furnishing you the above information only because C.R.S. 18-8-308
requires such disclosure. While I intend to exercise good judgment in
voting on matters affecting the Airport at all times, I have been
advised to file this letter for your information.
