RE: APPROVE AMENDMENT TO CONTRACT FOR FOOD SERVICES WITH SERVICE
AMERICA CORPORATION AND AUTHORIZE CHAIRMAN TO SIGN
WHEREAS , the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS , on December 23 , 1985 , the Board entered into a
Contract between Weld County, Colorado, and Service America
Corporation, for food services in the Weld County Jail , and
WHEREAS, the Board has now been presented with an Amendment
to the original Contract concerning Paragraph 6 (f) and Paragraph
8 , and
WHEREAS, the Board deems it advisable to approve said
Amendment to the Contract, a copy of which is attached hereto and
incorporated hereby by reference.
NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the Amendment to the
Contract between Weld County, Colorado, and Service America
Corporation be, and hereby is, approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Chairman be, and
hereby is, authorized to sign said Amendment to Contract.
The above and foregoing Resolution was , on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 10th day of
November, A.D. , 1986 .

AMENDMENT TO
CONTRACT FOR FOOD SERVICES
WHEREAS, a contract for food services was entered into on
the 23rd day of December, 1985 , by and between WELD COUNTY,
P.O. Box 758 , Greeley, Colorado 80632 , hereinafter referred to
as "County" , and SERVICE AMERICA CORPORATION, headquartered at
88 Gatehouse Road, Stamford , Connecticut 06902 , hereinafter
referred to as "Contractor" , and
WHEREAS, both parties hereby agree to amend said contract
as follows:
1. Paragraph 6 (f) is amended as follows:
"6f. Copies of all forms for order and control of
surplus commodities. The per meal rate for County Jail
will be calculated each month according to the following
scale:
Average Daily Price
Population Per Meal
110 1 . 458
120 1 . 401
130 1 . 334
140 1 . 284
150 1. 243
160 1 . 294
170 1 . 256
180 1 . 223
190 1 . 192
200 1 . 165
Compensation to Contractor will be based upon the
applicable daily per meal costs appreciable by the number
of meals served each day. "
2. Paragraph 8 is hereby added to said contract:
"8. Milk Purchase: County will purchase, through a
competitive bid process , milk products for all meals.
Contractor will reimburse County in total for cost of all
milk products purchased by County for use pursuant to this
contract. "
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties have caused this agreement
to be duly executed as of this 10th day of November, A.D. , 1986.
