RESOLUTION
RE: APPROVE ESTABLISHMENT OF LOCAL ENERGY IMPACT AND COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT REVIEW TEAM AND APPOINTMENT OF MEMBERS
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, Weld County has been impacted by the energy
development taking place throughout Weld County, and
WHEREAS, a portion of the State Severance Tax goes into an
Energy Impact Assistance Fund to be used to mitigate the energy
impact in the State, and
WHEREAS, the Energy Impact Assistance Fund is administered
by the Department of Local Affairs, and
WHEREAS, the grant application process for Energy Impact
Assistance Funds requires a local energy impact review team, and
WHEREAS, the State has directed that the energy impact
committee also prioritize Community Development Block Grant
applications for Weld County on a county-wide basis without
regard to funding source, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners believes a
combined energy impact and community development block grant
review team, with membership as follows, will represent the
various interests of Weld County and provide meaningful input
into the prioritization of energy impact assistance and
community development requests from Weld County:
County Commissioner (1)
Energy Industry Representatives (1)
Special District Representative (1)
Mayors of Weld County Communities (3)
City of Greeley (1)
County Residents (2)
School District Representative (1)
Housing Authority Representative (1)
WHEREAS, this Resolution shall supersede all prior
Resolutions of the Board of County Commissioners concerning the
Local Energy Impact Review Team.

RE: APPOINTMENTS TO CREATED REVIEW TEAM
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that a combined Local
Energy Impact and Community Development Review Team composed of
the above membership be, and hereby is, created.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners
that the following individuals be, and hereby are, appointed by
the Board of County Commissioners to serve on the Local Energy
Impact and Community Development Review Team:
County Commissioner Gene Brantner
Energy Industry Representative Ron Hansen
Special District Gary Sandau
Mayors from Weld County Communities R. Edgar Gieck
Jim Noah
Floyd Larkin
City of Greeley Gary Novinger
County Residents Neill Brunner
' Elton Miller
School District Representative Glen Hanson
Housing Authority Robert L. Cupp
The above and foregoing Resolution was , on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 1st day of
February, A.D. , 1988 .
