WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners held a public

• the Chambers of the Board for the purpose of considering the
• adoption of an updated copy of the Official Weld County Zoning Map

m u which includes all zoning districts approved by Weld County,
including all zone changes which have occurred since the last
H update in the unincorporated areas of Weld County.

o a WHEREAS, the Board, after considering the evidence presented
• and the recommendation of the Planning Commission, deems it
advisable to adopt said Zoning Map.

the Official Weld County Zoning Map be, and hereby is, adopted.

A public hearing was conducted on June 29, 1988, at 2:00 P.M. , with the
following present:
Commissioner Gene Brantner, Chairman - Excused
Commissioner C.W. Kirby, Pro-Tem
Commissioner Jacqueline Johnson
Commissioner Gordon E. Lacy
Commissioner Frank Yamaguchi
Also present:
Acting Clerk to the Board, Mary Reiff
Assistant County Attorney, Lee D. Morrison
Planning Department representative, Brian Bingle
The following business was transacted:
I hereby certify that pursuant to a notice dated May 18, 1988, and duly
published May 25, 1988, in the Platteville Herald, a public hearing was
conducted to consider adoption of the Official Weld County Zoning Map.
Lee Morrison, Assistant County Attorney, made this matter of record.
Brian Bingle, representing the Planning Department, read the favorable
recommendation of the Planning Commission into the record. No public
comment was offered concerning this matter. Commissioner Johnson moved
to adopt the Official Weld County Zoning Map. The motion was seconded
by Commissioner Lacy and carried unanimously.
This Certification was approved on the 6th day of July, 1988.

Docket No. 88-29
The Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, will conduct a
public hearing at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 29, 1988, in the County
Commissioners' Hearing Room, First Floor, Weld County Centennial Center, 915
Tenth Street, Greeley, Colorado, for the purpose of adopting an updated copy
of the Official Weld County Zoning Map which includes all zoning districts
approved by Weld County, including all zone changes which have occurred
since the last update in the unincorporated areas of Weld County.
All persons in any manner interested in the proposed map are requested to
attend and may be heard.
The map is available for public inspection in the office of the Clerk to the
Board of County Commissioners, Third Floor, Weld County Centennial Center,
915 Tenth Street, Greeley, Colorado, Monday through Friday, 8:00 A.M. to
5:00 P.M.

ADDITIONAL BUSINESS:
Chuck Cunliffe, Director, Department of Planning Services, asked the
Planning Commission to consider proposed amendments to Sections 10, 21 , 24,
28, 31 , and 32 of the Weld County Zoning Ordinance because the existing
Zoning Ordinance is in need of revision. The proposed sections will be
consistent with the future goals and needs of the County as set out in the
Weld County Comprehensive Plan, and the proposed amendments will be
consistent with the overall intent of the Weld County Zoning Ordinance.
The Chairman called for discussion from the members of the audience. There
was none.
MOTION:
Ernie Ross moved the proposed amendments to Sections 10, 21, 24, 28, 31 , and
32 of the Weld County Zoning Ordinance be forwarded to the Board of County
Commissioners with the Planning Commission's recommendation for approval
based upon the recommendation of the Department of Planning Services' staff.
Motion seconded by Bud Halldorson.
The Chairman called for discussion from the members of the Planning
Commission. Discussion followed.
The Chairman asked the secretary to poll the members of the Planning
Commission for their decision. Louis Rademacher - yes; Jerry Burnett - yes;
Bud Halldorson - yes; Ernie Ross - yes; Paulette Weaver - yes; Ann
Garrison - yes. Motion carried unanimously.

RESOLUTION OF RECOMMENDATION TO THE BOARD OF COUNTY CSWIISSIONERS
Moved by Bud Halldorson that the following resolution be introduced for
passage by the Weld County Planning Commission. Be it Resolved by the Weld
County Planning Commission that the updated Official Weld County Zoning Map
be adopted. The map includes all zoning districts approved by Weld County,
including all zone changes which have occurred, since the last update in the
unincorporated areas of Weld County. The Weld County Zoning Ordinance
requires that the map be updated every five years.
Motion seconded by Louis Rademacher.
