RE: GRANT REQUEST OF THE WELD COUNTY SHERIFF' S OFFICE FOR
CONVERSION OF PROPERTY
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Weld County Sheriff' s Office has presented a
list of property held by their office which is unclaimed,
abandoned, or lost, and for which a reasonable inquiry has been
made to identify and notify the rightful owner. Despite such
efforts, the rightful owners cannot be identified or located, and
WHEREAS , pursuant to Ordinance No. 28 , Section 11 , the Weld
County Sheriff has requested official conversion of the property
described in Exhibit "A" , which is attached hereto and
incorporated herein by reference, for use by the Weld County
Sheriff' s Office to carry out normal duties and responsibilities,
and
WHEREAS, the Board deems it advisable to grant said request.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the request of the
Weld County Sheriff' s Office for conversion of the property listed
in Exhibit "A" for use by the Weld County Sheriff' s Office to
carry out normal duties and responsibilities be, and hereby is ,
granted.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 12th day of
January, A.D. , 1987.

RE Conversion of Property
I am requesting permission to convert the following items to Weld County
Sheriff's Office use per Weld County Ordinance 28, Section 8a.
1. Rossi .38 caliber pistol, serial number D243482
2. Arminius .32 caliber pistol, serial number 276836
3. R & G .38 caliber pistol, serial number R098200
4. R & G .22 caliber pistol, serial number 30327
5. Llama .38 caliber pistol, serial number 723680
6. H & R .22 caliber pistol, serial number AP10693
7. K-Mart .12 gauge shotgun, serial number 29-011433
8. F.I.E. .20 gauge shotgun, serial number 322827
These firearms would be made permanently inoperable and used for training
purposes. These weapons are considered unclaimed and abandoned property.
