RE: APPROVE INSTALLATION OF "STOP AHEAD" AND "STOP" SIGNS ON WELD
COUNTY ROAD 14 , AT ITS INTERSECTION WITH WELD COUNTY ROAD 63
WHEREAS , the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS , the Board did, by Resolution dated July 18 , 1988 ,
refer the request of Western Sugar Company for the installation of
"Stop" signs on Weld County Road 14 , at its intersection with Weld
County Road 63 , to the Engineering Department for its
recommendation, and
WHEREAS, the Weld County Engineering Department has
recommended to the Board that, due to limited sight distance,
"Stop Ahead" and "Stop" signs be installed on Weld County Road 14,
at its intersection with Weld County Road 63 , to insure safety to
the traveling public, and
WHEREAS, the Board has determined that said traffic devices
are necessary for the protection of the general public.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the Department of
Engineering be, and hereby is, directed to install "Stop Ahead"
and "Stop" signs on Weld County Road 14 , at its intersection with
Weld County Road 63 , for the safety of the general public, and
that said signs must conform to the State manual and
specifications .

The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 22nd day of
August, A.D. , 1988 .
