RE: PROPOSED 1989 BUDGET FOR BEEBE DRAW LAW ENFORCEMENT AUTHORITY
A public hearing was conducted on November 14, 1988, at 9:30 A.M. , with
the following present:
Commissioner Gene Brantner, Chairman
Commissioner C.W. Kirby, Pro-Tem
Commissioner Jacqueline Johnson
Commissioner Gordon E. Lacy
Commissioner Frank Yamaguchi
Also present:
Acting Clerk to the Board, Tommie Antuna
Assistant County Attorney, Jan Rundus
Director of Finance & Administration, Donald Warden
The following business was transacted:
I hereby certify that pursuant to a notice dated September 1, 1988, and
duly published September 14, 1988, in the Platteville Herald, the Board
of County Commissioners convened as the Beebe Draw Law Enforcement
Authority District Board and a public hearing was conducted to consider
the proposed 1989 budget for said Law Enforcement Authority. Don
Warden, Director of Finance and Administration, explained that this
hearing was continued from October 26, until after the election when
the results of Amendment //6 would be known. Mr. Warden said the
proposed budget is $119.00, which with the assessed value, would be a
mill levy of 3.703 mills. Mr. Warden recommended that the Law
Authority approve the budget as requested; and that the Chairman be
authorized to sign the necessary document concerning the Law
Enforcement Agreement with the Sheriff's Office. There was no public
comment offered concerning this matter. Commissioner Lacy moved to
approve the 1989 budget for the Beebe Draw Law Enforcement Authority.
Commissioner Yamaguchi seconded the motion and it carried unanimously.
Commissioner Johnson moved to adopt the concurrence to continue the Law
Enforcement Agreement with the Sheriff's Office which was approved
October 29, 1987, in the amount of $119.00. Seconded by Commissioner
Lacy, the motion carried unanimously.
This Certification was approved on the 16th day of November, 1988.
