RE: DECLARING BUILDING KNOWN AS CB-13 SURPLUS AND AUTHORIZING
REMOVAL OF SAME
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Island Grove Park Advisory Board has
recommended that a building known as CB-13 be removed to
accommodate parking in the park 's master plan,
WHEREAS, the economic life of CB-13 has been fully ntil_ zed
for county purposes.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado that CB-13 is hereby
declared surplus .
RE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of County
Commissioners hereby authorizes the Island Grove Park Advisory
Board to demolish and remove CB-13 .
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made
and seconded , adopted by the following vote on the 11th day of
April , A.D. , 1988 .

Dear Gene,
The Island Grove Park Development PLan that Winston and Associates
prepared for Weld County and the City of Greeley recommend; that
the Weld County owned building known as CB-13 be removed to
provide more and better parking for the Exhibition and 4-H
Building. CB-13 is an older brick buidLing and is fairly .2x-
pensive to heat and maintain. Presently it is used for storage
and rented to the United Church Women for their clothing bank ,
The Island Grove Park Advisory Board has instructed me to Don-
tact you to secure permission to remove or tear down this
building.
We have only contracted with the United Church Women through
April 15, 1988 and would like to start removing this building
as soon as possible after that date.
If you have any questions or would like me to meet with you,
I would be more than happy to do so .
