RE: ESTABLISH DISTRICT ATTORNEY'S SALARY FOR TERM OF 1989 THROUGH
1992.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, Section 20-1-301 of the Colorado Revised Statutes
specifies that commencing January 8 , 1985 , in every Judicial
District, the District Attorney shall receive as compensation for
his services the sum of not less than $47 , 500 per annum. Any
amount in excess of $47,500 shall be set by the Boards of County
Commissioners of the County or Counties comprising the Judicial
District, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, desires to set the compensation of the District Attorney
for the Nineteenth Judicial District in Weld County in an amount
above the existing minimum of $47,500 per annum, beginning with
the 1989 through 1992 term.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County that under the authority of Section
20-1-301 of the Colorado Revised Statutes, the per annum salary
for the District Attorney serving the Nineteenth Judicial District
located in Weld County, shall be $71 ,500 per annum for 1989,
$73 ,000 per annum for 1990 , $74 ,500 per annum for 1991 , and
$76,000 per annum for 1992 .
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 17th day of
October, A.D. , 1988 .
