RE: APPROVE SETTING OF WORK RELEASE RATES
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Weld County Sheriff operates a work release
program in the county jail , and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners, by Resolution
dated September 12, 1988 , established a $70 .00 (Seventy Dollars)
per week fee to inmates to defray costs of the special program,
and
WHEREAS, the Sheriff has recommended that the weekly fee be
increased to $77.00 (Seventy-Seven Dollars) per week or $11 .00
(Eleven Dollars) per day because of the cost of substance abuse
testing.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the rates set forth
in the Resolution of September 12, 1988 , be, and hereby are,
rescinded.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the fee for the work
release program is hereby increased from Seventy Dollars ($70.00)
per week per participating inmate to Seventy-Seven ($77 .00) per
week or Eleven Dollars ($11 .00) per day per participating inmate.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 16th day of
November, A.D. , 1988 .
