q WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
o Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
u Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County
coo Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that pursuant to Section
R or 35-5-104 (7) , CRS, the termination date of the New Raymer-Stoneham

The above and foregoing Resolution was , on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 5th day of

PEST CONTROL DISTRICT
A public hearing was conducted on December 5, 1988, at 9:00 A.M. , with
the following present:
Commissioner Gene Brantner, Chairman
Commissioner C.W. Kirby, Pro—Tem
Commissioner Jacqueline Johnson
Commissioner Gordon F. Lacy
Commissioner Frank Yamaguchi
Also present:
Acting Clerk to the Board, Tommie Antuna
County Attorney, Thomas 0. David
Pest and Weed Inspector, Ron Broda
The following business was transacted:
I hereby certify that pursuant to a notice dated November 21, 1988, and
duly published November 23, 1988, in the Platteville Herald, a public
hearing was conducted to consider the extension of the termination date
for the New Raymer—Stoneham (Grasshopper) Pest Control District. Tom
David, County Attorney, made this matter of record. Mr. David stated
that the Advisory Committee for said District did submit a petition
requesting an extension of ten years to the termination date of
December 31, 1988. Dale Schmeeckle, representing the District, came
forward to answer questions of the Board. Ron Broda, Pest and Weed
Inspector, explained the County's role if the extension is granted.
There were no public comments offered. Commissioner Kirby moved to
grant the request of the New Raymer—Stoneham (Grasshopper) Pest Control
District to extend the termination date for ten years to December 31,
1998. Commissioner Lacy seconded the motion and it carried
unanimously.
This Certification was approved on the 12th day of December, 1988.

Pursuant to Section 35-5-104 (7) , Colorado Revised Statutes, as
amended, notice is hereby given that a hearing will be held before
the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, on the
5th day of December, 1988 , at or about 9 : 00 A.M. , in the First
Floor Hearing Room, Weld County Centennial Center, 915 10th
Street, Greeley, Colorado, at which time the Board will hear the
evidence upon the petition presented by the Advisory Committee for
the New Raymer-Stoneham Pest Control District requesting extension
of the termination date for said district beyond December 31 ,
1988 .
All interested persons should appear at said hearing and give
testimony as to whether or not the termination date should be
extended.

RE: SET HEARING DATE TO CONSIDER PETITION FROM NEW RAYMER-
STONEHAM PEST CONTROL DISTRICT TO EXTEND TERMINATION DATE
WHEREAS , the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado , pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado , and
WHEREAS , the Board has received a petition from the New
Raymer-Stoneham Pest Control District requesting that a public
hearing be held to determine if the the termination date should be
extended, and
WHEREAS , pursuant to Section 35-5-104 (7) , C . R. S . , the Board
deems it advisable that said hearing be set for Monday, December
5 , 1988 , at 9 : OC a .m.
NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the hearing to

PETITION
For the Extension of Termination
Date of Grasshopper District
TO: The Board of Commissioners of the County of Weld, State of Colorado
We, the undersigned District Advisory Committee for the New Raymer-
Stoneham Grasshopper Pest Control District.
In accordance with Section 35-5-104(7), CRS, the Board may extend the
Grasshopper District Termination date by holding Public Hearing to
determine if the termination date should or should not be extended. If the
Board determines after hearing that such extension date is advisable, the
Board shall immediately declare the extension of the termination date and
shall inform the District Advisory Committee and the County Assessor.
The District Advisory Committee requests that the Board extend the
termination date / C years.
We the undersigned respectfully request the above action to be taken
before December 16, 1988, as this District's termination date is December 31,
1988.
