RE: GRANT REQUEST OF ASSOCIATED NATURAL GAS , INC. TO
PRE-ADVERTISE USE BY SPECIAL REVIEW AMENDMENT
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS , Associated Natural Gas, Inc. has submitted a letter
to the Board of County Commissioners requesting that a hearing to
consider amendment of an existing Use by Special Review be
pre-advertised, and
WHEREAS, a copy of said letter is attached hereto and
incorporated herein by reference, and
WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it appropriate to
grant the request to pre-advertise this matter and set the hearing
for June 17 , 1985 , at 10 :00 A.M.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the request of
Associated Natural Gas, Inc. to pre-advertise the application for
amending the Use by Special Review be , and hereby is , granted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that said hearing be, and
hereby is, set for June 17 , 1985 , at 10 : 00 A.M.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 29th day of
May, A.D. , 1985.

Gentlemen ,
Associated Natural Gas , Inc . (ANGI) has applied to amend our
existing Permit in order to expand our Kersey Plant from its
current 15 MMSCF/D capacity to approximately 30 MMSCF/D capacity.
If the permit is approved , we expect to implement the expansion
over the next six to twelve months . The expansion is
necessitated by the continued increase in drilling and production
in Weld County which has resulted in the existing plant operating
at capacity , and therefore severely limits ANGI ' s ability to
purchase additional gas reserves as they go on stream.
The Weld County Department of Planning Services has scheduled
our permit for action by the Weld County Planning Commission on
June 4 , 1985.
As we are anxious to get started on the plant expansion , and
since the permitting process has been lengthly so far , we
herewith request that the Board of County Commissioners allow the
permit hearing to be preadvertized in order to expedite the
permitting process . We have been advised , by the Department of
Planning Services that this could occur as early as June 12 ,
1985.
We are both aware of the value of oil and gas production to
Weld County, and the proposed plant expansion will permit its
continued growth.
Your serious consideration of this matter will be greatly
appreciated.

Pursuant to the zoning laws of the State of Colorado and the Weld County
Zoning Ordinance, a public hearing will be held in the Chambers of the Board
of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, Weld County Centennial
Center, 915 10th Street, First Floor, Greeley, Colorado, at the time
specified. All persons in any manner interested in the Use by Special
Review are requested to attend and may be heard.
Should the applicant or any interested party desire the presence of a
certified court reporter to make a record of the proceedings, in addition to
the taped record which will be kept during the hearing, the Clerk to the
Board's Office can be contacted for a list of certified court reporters in
the area. If a court reporter is obtained, the Clerk to the Board's Office
shall be advised of such action at least five days prior to the hearing.
The cost of engaging a court reporter shall be borne by the requesting
party.
BE IT ALSO KNOWN that the text and maps so certified by the Weld County
Planning Commission may be examined in the office of the Clerk to the Board
of County Commissioners, located in the Weld County Centennial Center, 915
10th Street, Third Floor, Greeley, Colorado.
