RE: APPROVE INSTALLATION OF "STOP AHEAD" AND "STOP" SIGNS AT
THE INTERSECTION OF THIRD AVENUE AND "A" STREET NEAR TOWN
OF AULT
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Town of Ault has informed the Board that due
to heavy traffic at the intersection of Third Avenue and "A"
Street , they recommend that "Stop Ahead" and "Stop" signs be
installed to control the traffic on "A" Street at its
intersection with Third Avenue to insure the safety of the
traveling public , and
WHEREAS, upon recommendation of the Town of Ault, the Board
has determined that said traffic control devices are necessary
for the protection of the general public.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the Town of Ault
be, and hereby is , authorized to install "Stop Ahead" and "Stop"
signs to control the traffic on "A" Street at its intersection
with Third Avenue, said signs must conform to the State manual
and specifications and are for the safety of the general public.
The above and foregoing Resolution was , on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 15th day of
April , A.D. , 1987 .
