RE: APPROVE CONTRACT WITH COMMUNICATIONS ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGY
(C.E.T. ) , INC. AND AUTHORIZE CHAIRMAN TO SIGN
WHEREAS , the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with a Contract with
Communications Engineering Technology (C.E.T. ) , Inc . for services
to be provided by them concerning the County' s four radio sites,
and
WHEREAS, the services to be provided are as outlined in the
Contract, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated
herein by reference, and
WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to
approve said Contract.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the Contract with
Communications Engineering Technology (C.E.T. ) , Inc. be, and
hereby is, approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Chairman be, and
hereby is, authorized to sign said Contract.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 20th day of
January, A.D. , 1988 .

Dear Rich:
Here is the estimated costs for the proposed work that is outlined
in our letter to you dated December 31, 1987.
1. Compile Topographical Data - This data is a one time item and
will never have to be duplicated as long as the site exists.
(A) Topographic analysis of the County from
each of the four existing radio sites.
Foster Site
8 hrs. Computer time @$2.00 minute $960.00
12 hrs. Consulting @$70.00 hour 840.00
Sub-total $1800.00
South Site
8 hrs. Computer Time @$2.00 minute $960.00
12 hrs. Consulting @$70.00 hour 840.00
Sub-total $1800.00
Grover Site
8 hrs. Computer Time @$2.00 minute $960.00
12 hrs. Consulting @$70.00 hour 840.00

Horsetooth Site
4 hrs. Computer time @$2.00 $480.00

10-13 hrs. @$70.00 hour = $700.00 not to exceed $900.00.

(Necessary for coverage profiles)
(A) VHF & UHF fixed radio equipment
(B) Mobile & portable radio units
7-10 hrs. @$70.00 hour = $490.00 not to exceed $700.00.
3. Evaluate potential (new) sites for coverage (if necessary)
Price on this item will include Consulting and
Computer time = $1500.00 not to exceed $2000.00.
4. Search and evaluation of additional frequencies and their
prospective locations.
Price on this item will include Consulting and
Computer time $1000.00 not to exceed 1200.00
5. Recommendations:
Recommend possible antenna changes along with any other changes
necessary. (No Charge) .
