N a BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF WELD
COUNTY, COLORADO:
ooi] WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,

� a WHEREAS, Paragraph 5 of Section 14-9 of Article XIV of the
v p Home Rule Charter for Weld County, Colorado, as amended November

$1 6 , 1984 , provides that written sealed bids and a ten-day period
for consideration and investigation of the bids he required for
Nw purchases in excess of an amount set annually by the Board of

a ay WHEREAS, it is necessary that this Board set the limit for
the year 1989 to comply with said provision, and

NCO WHEREAS, the Board, after consultation with staff,
'"o consideration of past bid procedures, and being otherwise fully
aaw advised, has determined that all purchases for the year 1989 in
excess of $5 ,000 .00 shall be by written, sealed bid, and shall be
followed by a ten-day period unless waived by this Board.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of County
Commissioners in and for the County of Weld, State of Colorado,
that all purchases for the year 1989 in excess of $5 , 000 . 00 shall
be by written, sealed bid, and shall be followed by a ten-day
period for consideration and investigation of the bids submitted
to determine comparisons of quality and price unless waived by
this Board by Resolution for emergency purchases.
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED by the Board of County Commissioners
of Weld County, Colorado, that this Ordinance shall take effect
January 1 , 1989 .
BE IT FUTHER ORDAINED that an emergency exists in that the
amount must be set by January 1 , 1989 , therefore this Ordinance
136-C is declared to be an Emergency Ordinance under the
provisions of Section 3-14 of the Weld County Home Rule Charter.
