RE: APPROVE DONATION CONCERNING AIDS EDUCATION FLYERS
WHEREAS , the Board of County Commissioners of Welc' County,
Colorado , pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Weld County Medical Society and the United Way
of Weld County wish to donate the printing costs of 70 , 000 flyers
concerning AIDS education, in an amount estimated to be
approximately $1 ,500 . 00 , and
WHEREAS, the Greeley Tribune is willing to donate the insert
cost of the AIDS education flyers , and
WHEREAS, it is the policy of Weld County to accept all
donations via Resolution, and
WHEREAS, the Weld County Health Department and AIDS Coalition
recommend accepting the above donation of funds and services .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the above donations
for funds and services from the Weld County Medical Society; the
United Way of Weld County; and the Greeley Tribune be , and hereby
are, accepted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that a copy of this
Resolution shall be sent to the Weld County Medical Society; the
United Way of Weld County; and the Greeley Tribune to thank them
for their donations to the AIDS Coalition to help educate the
citizens of Weld County.

and seconded , adopted by the following vote on the 28th day of
September, A.D. , 1987 .

Donations to AIDS Coalition

It is my understanding that donations must be cleared through the county
system. Therefore, I am submitting this tentative plan to you.
The Greeley Tribune is unable to print our flyer, but is willing to insert
it into their circulation of 41,000. In order to provide the flyer also to
schools and businesses, we are looking at approximately 70,000 total at a
cost of $1,500„ The Weld County Medical Society and the United Way have
tentatively offered to cover this cost. If approved, our flyer needs to
be at the printer Monday, September 28, 1987, in order to be distributed
the first few days of October.
Please evaluate this plan and help me go through the correct channels.
