RE: GRANT REQUEST OF THE WELD COUNTY SHERIFF' S OFFICE FOR
CONVERSION OF PROPERTY
WHEREAS , the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado , pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado , and
WHEREAS , the Weld County Sheriff' s Office has presented a
list of property , said property being cash, held by their office
which is unclaimed, abandoned, or lost, and for which a
reasonable inquiry has been made to identify and notify the
rightful owner. Despite such efforts , the rightful owners
cannot be identified or located, and
WHEREAS , pursuant to Ordinance No. 28 , Section 11 , the Weld
County Sheriff has requested official conversion of the said
property described in Exhibit "A" , which is attached hereto and
incorporated herein by reference , to purchase equipment for use
by the Weld County Sheriff ' s Office to carry out normal duties
and responsibilities , and
WHEREAS , the Board of County Commissioners deems it
advisable to grant said request.
NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County , Colorado , that the request of the
Weld County Sheriff' s Office for conversion of the cash
property, as listed in Exhibit "A" for use by the Weld County
Sheriff' s Office to purchase equipment for normal duties and
responsibilities be , and hereby is , granted.
The above and foregoing Resolution was , on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 19th day of
February, A.D. , 1986 .

cash was either re v red or found. Efforts to ,locate the proper owners
have been exhausted a -
