RE: APPROVE AMENDMENTS TO SICK LEAVE BANK POLICIES
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Sick Leave Bank Board has submitted a Memorandum
recommending certain amendments to the Sick Leave Bank Policies,
with said Memorandum being attached hereto and incorporated herein
by reference, and
WHEREAS, the recommended amendments are as follows:
Amend second paragraph, under section titled "Sick Leave
Bank" to read:
The Sick Leave Bank is based on a voluntary contribution
of eight (8) hours per member, per year. Employees who
do not contribute to the Bank will not have the
opportunity to take advantage of the Bank.
Admission to Bank participation for new members shall be
allowed after the employee' s one year anniversary date.
(Underlining indicates amendment.)
Amend paragraph A, under Section titled "Sick Leave Bank" to
read:
The Sick Leave Bank was funded initially by a
contribution from each employee member of eight (8)
hours of that employee' s individual sick leave, which
was deducted and credited to the Bank. For the new
members the same contribution will be made during the
payroll quarter, following one year' s employment.
Following enrollment deductions, a new member has a
waiting period of one quarter, or ninety (90) days,
before applying for sick leave from the Sick Leave Bank.

WHEREAS, the Board , after review and consideration, deems it
advisable to approve the amendments as recommended by the Sick
Leave Bank Board.

RE: AMENDMENTS TO SICK LEAVE BANK POLICIES
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the amendments to the
Sick Leave Bank Policies, as hereinabove stated, be , and hereby
are, approved.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 16th day of
October, A.D. , 1989 .

Subject: Proposed Sick Leave Bank Policy Change
Date: October 5, 1989
We would like to submit to you the following change with regard to the Sick
Leave Bank policies for your approval;
