WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, t,--,;!
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and

WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners held a public M m
hearing on the 21st day of October, 1987, at the hour of 2:00 p.m.
in the Chambers of the Board for the purpose of considering cco
amendments to the Weld County Subdivision Regulations, and

WHEREAS, the proposed amendments to the Subdivision
Regulations, as approved by the Weld County Planning Commission on
October 6, 1987, were considered by the Board of County t--

WHEREAS, the Board, after said consideration, deems it '-'

advisable to approve the proposed amendments to the Weld County
Subdivision Regulations as described in the attached Exhibit "A", 2
incorporated herein and made a part hereof by reference, and
WHEREAS, said amendments to the Weld County Subdivision go
Regulations shall become effective October 21, 1987. r'
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the amendments to the no
Weld County Subdivision Regulations, attached hereto, be, and O.')

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that said amendments to
the Weld County Subdivision Regulations shall be effective October
21, 1987.

AMENDMENTS TO THE WELD COUNTY SUBDIVISION REGULATIONS
Add a new Section 8-11 D. (6) to read:
(6) All subdivision proposals shall be consistent with the need
to minimize flood damage.
Add a new Section 8-11 D. (7) to read:
(7) All subdivisions proposals shall have adequate drainage
provided to reduce exposure to flood damage.
Add a new Section 8-11 D. (8) to read:
(8) All subdivision proposals shall have public utilities and
facilities such as sewer, gas, electrical, and water systems
located and constructed to minimize flood damage.
Add a new Section 8-11 D. (9) to read:
(9) Base flood elevation data shall be provided for subdivision
proposals and other proposed development which contain at
least 50 lots or 5 acres (whichever is less).
Amend Section 12-3 E. (2) (b) by changing "Recorded Exemption" to "Minor
Subdivision" in the text with no other changes in the existing text.
Amend Section 12-3 E. (2) (h) to read:
(h) Submit to the Board for review any plat required under 12-3
D. (4).

A public hearing was conducted on October 21, 1987, at 2:00 P.M., with

The following business was transacted:
I hereby certify that pursuant to a notice dated September 14, 1987,
and duly published September 17, 1987, in the Johnstown Breeze, a
public hearing was conducted to consider amending the Weld County
Subdivision Regulations. Lee Morrison, Assistant County Attorney, made
this matter of record. Chuck Cunliffe, Director of Planning Services,
read the favorable recommendation of the Planning Commission into the
record. Commissioner Johnson moved to adopt the proposed'amendments to
the Weld County Subdivision Regulations. Commissioner Brantner
seconded the motion and it carried unanimously.
This Certification was approved on the 26th day of October, 1987.

BEFORE THE WELD COUNTY, COLORADO PLANNING COMMISSION
RESOLUTION OF RECOMMENDATION TO THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
Moved by Louis Rademacher that the following resolution be introduced for
passage by the Weld County Planning Commission. Be it Resolved by the Weld
County Planning Commission that the proposed amendments to Sections 8-11 D.
(6) through (9), 12-3 E. (2) (b), and 12-3 E. (2) (h) of the Weld County
Subdivision Regulations be recommended favorably to the Board of County
Commissioners for the following reasons:
The amendments will be in compliance with the revised National Flood
Insurance Program's floodplain management criteria. The Federal Emergency
Management Agency is requiring local communities participating in the
National Flood Insurance Program to revise its regulations to be consistent
with revisions in the Federal regulations. Other sections of the
Regulations being amended will correct or clarify the Subdivision
Regulations to better facilitate its administration.

Commissioners' Hearing Room, First Floor, Weld County Centennial Center, 915
10th Street, Greeley, Colorado, for the purpose of amending the Weld County
Subdivision Regulations. The Federal Emergency Management Agency is
requiring local communities to revise its floodplain management regulations
to be consistent with revised Federal regulations in the National Flood
Insurance program. The amendments are summarized below.
