RE: APPROVE LETTER OF AGREEMENT WITH GREELEY EXCAVATION COMPANY
INC. AND AUTHORIZE CHAIRMAN TO SIGN
WHEREAS , the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, Greeley Excavation Company Inc. , is in need of 6 ,000
tons of crushed material, and
WHEREAS, Greeley Excavation Company Inc. , has offered to
exchange 18 , 000 tons of pit run for said crushed material , and
WHEREAS, the Road and Bridge Department recommends that the
Board approve said exchange, and
WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to
approve the Letter of Agreement concerning said trade, a copy of
which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the Letter of
Agreement concerning said exchange from Greeley Excavation Company
Inc. , be, and hereby is , approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Chairman be, and
hereby is , authorized to sign said Letter of Agreement.
The above and foregoing Resolution was , on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vbte on the 5th day of
April, A.D. , 1989 .

Dear Goerge,
Gec is in need of Approximately 6000 tons of base material
to complete an obligation on a supply contract. In the interest
of timely completion we are unable to schedule our crusher to
make every thing fit.
I would like to trade the road and bridge group the base quanity
for pit run on the north shore. The exchange rate would be 3:1
in your favor. This should make the base value at $ 3.60/ton.
Your cooperation in this matter is appreciated. I would hope the
proximity of the pit run will make this an advantagous trade for
every one.
