RE: APPROVE INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN WELD COUNTY AND
TOWN OF LA SALLE AND AUTHORIZE CHAIRMAN TO SIGN
WHEREAS , the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS , the Board has been presented with an Inter-
governmental Agreement between Weld County and the Town of
La Salle regarding implementation of a Rental Rehabilitation
Program, and
WHEREAS, the terms and conditions are as stated in said
Agreement, and
WHEREAS , after review, the Board deems it advisable to
approve said Intergovernmental Agreement, a copy of which is
attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the Intergovernmental
Agreement between Weld County and the Town of La Salle regarding
implementation of a Rental Rehabilitation Program be, and hereby
is, approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Chairman be, and
hereby is , authorized to sign said Intergovernmental Agreement.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 28th day of
September, A.D. , 1987 .

INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT

WI TNESSETH:
WHEREAS,R EAS„ pursuant to the Housing and Urban Rural Recovery Act of

through the Secretary of the Department of Housing and Urban
Development, hereinafter called "HUD, " has made available o the State
of Colorado certain funds for the implementation o- a Rental
Rehabilitation Program; and
WHEREAS, the State of Colorado, through the Department of Local
Affairs has the legal authority to provide funds to counties +or
Rental Rehabilitation activities; a n ri

WHEREAS, the County has indicated a willingness to submit a
program proposal to the State to carry out the HUD Rental
Rehabilitation and

NOW, THEREFORE, in furtherance of said RESOLUTION, and in
consideration] of the rnutual. conditions, r'ov earits and agreements

herein contained, it is agreed by and between the parties as follows:
1 . Planning the Rental Rehabilitation Program: The parties,
through their executives and staff , shall cooperate with each other in
developing the Rental. Rehabilitation proposals with all parties giving
due consideration to the needs of i t.s citizens and goals, objectives,
rules and regulations of the ACT.
2. Term of the Agreement: This Agreement shall remain in full
force and effect t (er- 15o long as the parties to this Agreement are
pursuing Rental Rehabilitation funding for said proposed project or,
if awarded, carrying out such project activities. Any party to this
Agreement may, however.. , terminate its participation in this Agreement
six months after providing written notice of such termination to the
other part.i es to this Agreement. This Agreeerrient may be terminated at
any time by agreement of all parties to this Agreement unless a grant

3. Authorization to Submit a Proposal : The County is authorized
to submit a proposal to the State on behalf of the Town to
apply for funds under the HUD Rental Rehabilitation Program and to act
