RE: TAVERN LIQUOR LICENSE - LUCKY STAR CORPORATION, D/B/A LUCKY STAR
BAR AND GRILL
A public hearing was conducted on April 5, 1989, at 10:00 A.M., with
the following present:
Commissioner C.W. Kirby, Chairman
Commissioner Jacqueline Johnson, Pro-Tem
Commissioner Gene Brantner
Commissioner George Kennedy
Commissioner Gordon E. Lacy - Excused
Also present:
Acting Clerk to the Board, Mary Reiff
Assistant County Attorney, Lee D. Morrison
Certified Shorthand Reporter, Mary J. Harms
The following business was transacted:
I hereby certify that pursuant to a notice dated February 22, 1989, and
duly published March 1, 1989, in the Platteville Herald, a public
hearing was conducted to consider the application of Lucky Star
Corporation, dba Lucky Star Bar and Grill, for a Tavern Liquor License.
Lee Morrison, Assistant County Attorney, made this matter of record and
noted that Commissioner Lacy made the site inspection and found
everything to be in order. John Barry, Attorney for the applicant,
explained the proposed operation. Michael Branand, president of Lucky
Star Corporation, answered questions of the Board. Joel Williams,
owner of Red Coach Inn, which is located nearby, spoke in favor of
granting this license. Mr. Barry made further comments. Commissioner
Kennedy moved to approve the application of Lucky Star Corporation, dba
Lucky Star Bar and Grill, for a Tavern Liquor License, based upon the
findings necessary for granting such license. Commissioner Brantner
seconded the motion, and it carried unanimously.
This Certification was approved on the 10th day of April, 1989.
