BRO 0023 (2) RIO GRANDE COUNTY ROAD 17
The Department ' s Division of Highways accepted fourteen
bids at the November 7 opening for a project to replace a bridge
on Rio Grande County Road 17 over the Rio Grande River . It
includes grading, stabilization, the bridge, hot bituminous
pavement, and guardrail beginning seven tenths of a mile north of
the intersection with U. S. 160. (six miles west of Del Norte) and
extending a tenth of a mile north.
G.A. Western Construction Co. of Clifton turned in an
apparently successful bid of $292 , 882 for the project, which
calls for completion within 80 working days after its Notice to
Proceed. Project engineer coordinating the work is John
Schneider of Durango.

MP 03-0392-06 S .H. 392 EAST OF LUCERNE
Improving S .H. 392 east of Lucerne drew four bidders
Nov. 7, when Division of Highways engineers opened sealed
envelopes for a project beginning at the intersection with U.S.
85 (approximately three miles north of Greeley) and extending
about four miles east consisting of hot bituminous pavement
overlay.
Best-Way Paving Co . of Greeley turned in an apparently
successful bid of $211, 065 for the project, which calls for
completion within 15 working days after its Notice to Proceed .
L.G. Duncan of Greeley is the resident enigneer for this project.

CC 05-0025-04 I-25 SOUTH OF WALSENBURG
Tectonic Construction Co. of Englewood submitted an
apparently successful bid of $19 , 930 at the Division of Highways
November 7 opening to repair a bridge on I-25 south of
Walsenburg. Four firms bid the project, which requires
completion within 30 workable days .

The project begins about two miles south of The
Huerfano-Las Animas county line in Las Animas county and consists
of bridge pier repair . William Rizley of Pueblo is resident
engineer .

work near the 75th Street and Lookout Road intersection in
Boulder , consisting of grading, stabilization, concrete box
culvert, structures , hot bituminous pavement, concrete pavement,
signing, striping, topsoil, seeding, mulching, and concrete
bikepath, beginning about six tenths of a mile south of the
intersection with Lookout Road, and extending six tenths of a
mile north, in Boulder county, MR 4087(1) .
NOV. 27. 9 : 30 a .m. , Bridge work located on U. S . 50 over
Blue Creek ten miles east of Cimarron, consisting of one bridge,
hot bituminous pavement, guardrail, seeding and mulching, in
Gunnison county, BRF 050-2 (20) .
