RE: GRANT REQUEST OF WESTERN SUGAR COMPANY TO PSRE-ADVERTISE USE
BY SPECIAL REVIEW -REQUESTED IBY SEKICH FARMS
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, -pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Color-ado, and
WHEREAS , Western Sugar Company -has submitted a letter to the
Board requesting that the application of -Sekich Farms for a Use by
Special Review be pre-advertised, and
WHEREAS, a copy of said letter of r-equ-est is attached hereto
and incorporat-ed herein by reference , and
WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it appropriate to
grant said request to pr-e-advertise this matter.
NOW, THERE-FORE, -BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the _request of
Western Sugar Company to pre-advertise the application of Sekich
Farms for a Use by Special -Review be, and hereby is, granted.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 9th day of
July, A.D. , 1986 .

Ladies and Gentlemen
SUBJECT: Request for Preadvertising on Land-use Application
USR-746:86:29 - Sekich Beet Piling Site
The Western Sugar Company Lessee of the proposed beet piling site requests
that a preadvertisment of the special land use application be initiated
by the Weld County Commissioners as soon as possible.
After a great deal of site exploration and consideration, the Sekich
piling ground was selected as a practical beet purchase and storage
location by the Western Sugar Company.
Approximately 47 beet growers will deliver their crop to the Western Sugar
Company at this site. Beet harvest and delivery to this site is scheduled
to begin on September 24, 1986.
It is imperative that the Western Sugar Company move beet receiving
equipment and construct weighing facilities at this location very soon.
Without the timely use of this site, beet harvest in South Weld County
could be adversely affected and there could be a financial burden on
the areas beet growers if they were to deliver their sugar beet crop
to any other available location.
The Western Sugar Company and the beet growers of South Weld County
request that the County Commissioners of Weld County give this matter
immediate consideration.

subject: Request to Pre-advertise USR
We have received a request from Robert L. Abrams , Agricultural
Manager for Western Sugar Company, to pre-advertise a Use by
Special Review. The Planning Commission is -hearing this case on
August 5, 1986 . The hearing concerning this matter can be set for
August 13 , at 2: 00 P.M.
